Speaking of events, RI President Wilf Wilkerson has planned a “Presidential Membership Conference” to be held in San Jose, August 17-18, 2007. Targeted to Rotary clubs, this conference will focus on the need for change and practical ways to increase new membership, retain existing members, and extend Rotary through new clubs.

Who should attend:

- Club presidents and club officers

- District membership committee chairs and members

- District governors, DGE, assistant governors, and officers

- All Rotarians enthused about strengthening Rotary

- Special invitation to all new Rotarians who joined since July 1, 2006 (A picture opportunity with President Wilf is planned).

Southwest California (Temecula):  Sandy Dobson, President, has got this club fired up!  They have several new prospective members, and with the help of Assistant Governor Fred Latuperissa and District Membership Chair Bruce Cripe, I fully expect this club to blossom this year.
