Club Visitations:

Banning:  After losing some key board members, President Eve Forrest is thick into rebuilding the basic organization of this Club.  They still manage community involvement with Stagecoach Days, the weekly Street Fair, and a Spaghetti Dinner.

Palm Desert-Palms to Pines:  This Club is on the right track, and is really involved with youth in the community.  A new Earlyact Club is in the works, and too many other youth/community activities to list.  President Marleen Rogers may need help with directions, but she really has this Club going full speed.

Palm Springs:  These guys and gals know how to have fun while getting the job done! Founded by Paul Harris in 1941, this Club has been showing Rotary Shares for many years.  Their event calendar is almost as busy as mine.  President Bob Elsner fuels this Club with high octane Fellowship, and will have a great year.

Rancho Mirage:  Innovative is the best word I can use to describe this Club.  President Robert Smith is not afraid to try new things to make them even stronger.  Great youth, literacy, and international projects keep all the members engaged.  Definitely a winning combination!

Yucca Valley:  President Cindy Melland has an impressive set of goals for this Club in their Golden Anniversary year.  Community Service has been their strong point, but they are looking to increase their International involvement.  Membership is a high priority, and I am sure this Club will continue to grow.

Yucca Valley Sunset:  We all are familiar with the 20/80 rule – 20% of the members do 80% of the work.  If so, you would think this Club has 100 members, not 15.  This Club does an amazing amount of good things for their community.  Their annual Orchid Festival is a huge undertaking that raises money to fund their many projects like Bike for Kids, their 3rd of July Party for Landers, and STARS just to name a few.  President Trish Kotila has every member of this TEAM working together.
