Who’d like a free trip to South Korea, representing the best of the best of
District 5330? We are now looking for our next Group Study Exchange team leader and members! One of the great programs funded by the Rotary International Foundation is GSE. Every year, Rotary districts pair all over the world to exchange teams of business and professional people for four- to five-week stays in each other’s country. (This is not a program for students.) The Rotarian team leader and team members stay with local Rotarians, experience the local culture and meet members of their owns professions in the host country. As those who have participated commonly seem to say, “It’s a life-changing experience.”
This year our district is exchanging teams with South Korea’s Rotary District 3620. Our outbound team will depart on April 24, 2008 and return on May 23. I am accepting team leader and member applications immediately and no later than August 25. Interviews will be September 6 for team leader and September 19 for team members. Would you like to be our team leader or alternate? We look for someone with a knowledge of Rotary and our district and who hopefully has served as a club president. Additionally, if you know anyone who would be interested in the trip and who’d make a good GSE team
member, please talk to him or her: We are looking for four team members and several alternates: business or professional people between 25 and 40 years old and not a Rotarian or have immediate family who are Rotarians.
