There are two types of Fellowship opportunities:
World Peace

Short-term Certificate
Program
The three-month certificate program in Peace and Conflict
Resolution held at
Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand is designed
for professionals
in mid-to-upper-level positions in fields related
to conflict resolution and mediation. Up to thirty
participants attend this program, and it is offered
twice per year beginning in January and July. Applicants
must be employed at least five years and have a bachelor’s
degree, or equivalent. They must be non-Rotarians
and cannot be spouses or lineal descendants of Rotarians.
Typical applicants include professionals involved
in mediation or conflict resolution in fields such
as law enforcement, government, education, unions,
media, and NGOs. To view the profiles of the current

The next application deadline for clubs to submit
sponsored applications to the District for the July,
2007 short-term program Fellowship is: October
31, 2007
Graduate Studies Program
World Peace Fellows earn a masters degree in international
relations, peace studies, conflict resolution, or
related areas. These programs are offered in six different
host universities throughout the world: Duke University
and the University of North Carolina (jointly offered
program), International Christian University in Tokyo,
Japan, Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina,
University of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England,
University of California at Berkeley, and the University
of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and
demonstrate significant work experience in the areas
of conflict resolution, mediation, diplomacy, international
relations, and similar fields. They must also be under
40 years of age and cannot be a Rotarian, or a lineal
descendant of a Rotarian. Our District can forward
one qualified candidate to RI for consideration for
the Fellowship from the pool of applicants.
