Our vision is a world where all people have access to safe
drinking water and sanitation; a world where no one suffers
or dies from a water- or sanitation-related disease.

Water, Health, and Hunger Concerns
The Water, Health, and Hunger Concerns Resource Group will
provide information, support and encouragement
for Rotary clubs and districts to take an active
role in projects/programs to develop water and
sanitation resources as a means of promoting health
and alleviating hunger. Within this context, the
resource group encourages all Rotarians to become
aware of the importance of conservation, sustainability,
and local and global water-related issues.

Water For People
CWIP donations to Malawi support the larger programs Water For People is pursuing there. Because we are eager to give Rotary Clubs opportunities to support safe water and sanitation projects at all levels of funding, we have broken our total projects down into specific water systems units like latrines, wells, and hygiene education courses. These units are typical of the work we do, and donations we receive go to support such typical work in the country designated by the Rotary Club's choice on the CWIP log. What we have found, however, is that we cannot track donations of less than $5,000 to specific village projects without expending significant donor dollars on administration--money that we and our donors prefer to spend on water and sanitation. We pride ourselves on transparency, but also on our commitment to our goal: the most clean water to the most people for every dollar we raise.
The clubs of 5330 can be assured that your donations have been directed to the countries you have chosen to support, with the specific impact suggested by the CWIP Log. Just as important, you can be assured that that impact will last well into the future.
Speaking for the whole organization, we greatly appreciate your extraordinary efforts on behalf of Water For People and this critical work.
